Disciple 1 (English)
Who am I in the Kingdom?
In the lives of the disciples of Jesus we can discover three stages of growth. The first phase: Follow is that people followed Jesus, they listened to his words and watched what Jesus did (we call these trainings Follow 1, 2 and 3). In the second phase: Disciple, we see a cooperation between Jesus and his disciples (we call these trainings Disciple 1, 2 and 3). After they followed Jesus, Jesus taught his followers how to not only be a follower, but also a disciple or disciple. In the second stage, a follower becomes a student or disciple. This is someone who wants to live just like the person he/she follows. The disciple not only follows, but also applies what he/she hears from Jesus. After a period of training, Jesus even gives these disciples power to do the same as what he did.
Follow 3 was the last part of the Follow phase. In the Follow phase you learned what the kingdom of God is, who that God of the kingdom is and how to get into the kingdom.
In the next phase: Disciple is it time to learn how God sees you in the kingdom. In Disciple 1 you learn who you really are before God and what your inheritance is. You learn that we are often marked by life and lose part of our identity. In these lessons we help to (re)gain insight into your true identity in Jesus. During this “Disciple” phase we challenge you to look for a disciple that you can take with you through the lessons of Follow 1, 2 and 3.
We recommend that you follow ‘Disciple 1’ after completing ‘Follow 1, 2 and 3’. These lessons consist of a video and assignments to be able to apply the principles practically in your life.

Introduction Disciple 1
-
Principle 18 - Who am I in the Kingdom?
You were made to give and receive love. You have value and purpose. God gives you authority and responsibility. This identity allows us to have good and healthy relationships with others, as well as with God the Father Himself.
-
Principle 19 - What went wrong?
Because of sin we experience problems in our identity and our authority as God had intended for mankind. Because of that we have problems with responsibility to provide care, protect life and multiply in a healthy way. That’s why there are relational problems and we are disconnected with the Father who loves us.
-
Principle 20 - New Identity in Christ
In Jesus we get a new identity and authority. It is important to regularly renew our thinking so that we can live as heirs.
-
Principle 21 - Sonship
In Jesus we have become sons and daughters of God. We are no longer slaves to the law, but live by the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
-
Principle 22 - Heirs
We are already like Jesus in our spirit. Our new spirit, or our new human that we receive when we accept Jesus' sacrifice, was created in true holiness and righteousness. We are blessed and will pass on that blessing. We are heirs in the Abrahamic line.
